Whether it’s bass fishing, trout fishing, kayak fishing, deer hunting, duck hunting, scouting, tracking, calling, gear setup, or anything else hunting and fishing related — we’ll create real educational experiences taught from firsthand experience. This can be group courses or 1 on 1!
If it’s something we’re not truly experienced in, we’ll be honest and tell you. This isn’t a money grab — our goal is to help people learn real outdoor skills the right way and keep the traditions of hunting and fishing alive.

Blackout Outfitters Outdoor Skills Academy
Youth Angler & Watercraft Training Program (Ages 10–15)
The Blackout Outfitters Outdoor Skills Academy is an 8-week hands-on training program designed to teach kids real outdoor skills through fishing, kayak operation, and on-the-water safety training.
This is not a typical summer camp. Our program is built around structured skill development, small-group instruction, and real-world experience on the water. Students learn how to confidently fish for multiple species, safely operate a kayak, understand fish behavior and habitat, and develop lifelong outdoor confidence.
With a maximum of only 5 students per session, every participant receives personalized coaching, real-time feedback, and hands-on instruction throughout the program.
What Students Will Learn
🎣 Angling Foundations
Rod, reel, and tackle setup
Knot tying and rigging
Casting accuracy and lure presentation
Equipment maintenance and organization
🐟 Multi-Species Fishing
Students will target and learn techniques for:
Largemouth Bass
Smallmouth Bass
Crappie
Yellow Perch
Bluegill
White Perch
And more
Participants also learn fish behavior, seasonal movement, habitat identification, and how to read water like experienced anglers.

🌊 Guided Field Sessions
Every session includes real on-the-water application where students practice the skills they learn under the guidance of experienced instructors.
