🎣 Blackout Outfitters Fishing Boot Camp 🎣
Give your child a summer they’ll never forget—on the water, learning real skills, and having a blast.
The Blackout Outfitters Fishing Boot Camp is an 8-week, hands-on program designed for beginner anglers ages 10–15. This immersive experience builds confidence, teaches practical outdoor skills, and introduces kids to fishing in a safe, supportive environment.

⏰ Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Location: Lake Mahopac
👥 Choose One Session (Spots Are Limited):
Participants attend 2 days per week for the full 8 weeks:
Session 1: Mondays & Wednesdays (5 spots)
Session 2: Tuesdays & Thursdays (5 spots)
💲 Pricing:
Total Cost: $1500 per child (full 8-week program)
🐟 What Your Child Will Learn:
Over 8 weeks, participants will build real fishing skills and water confidence, including:
Fish species identification & behavior
Understanding fish habitats
Rod & reel setup and mechanics
Kayak paddling techniques
Essential kayak safety & rescue skills
🎯 They’ll also fish for:
Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, White Perch, Crappie, Bluegill—and possibly even walleye.
🚣♂️ All Gear Included:
We provide everything needed for a safe and successful experience:
Pedal-driven kayak
Paddle & life jacket
Fishing rod & reel
Tackle & live bait
🎁 Bonus: Each participant keeps their rod and tackle at the end of the program!
🌧 Weather Plan:
If weather conditions are unsafe (heavy rain, lightning, or strong winds), sessions will move indoors to the Mahopac Public Library for educational lessons and activities.
🎯 Led by a Professional:
All sessions are led by a local professional fishing guide from Blackout Outfitters, ensuring expert instruction in a safe and engaging environment.
