The SteelShad® Mini 1/4 oz. blade bait is 1-3/4 inches long and constructed of durable stainless steel. The Mini Lures arrive equipped with a molded lead weight, a split ring and feature two #12 VMC PermaSteel coated treble hooks - for both fresh and saltwater fishing. From the bank, from the boat- Fishing SteelShad is an experience like nothing else out there. SteelShad can be cranked, jigged, and trolled. Just as you would throw a lipless crankbait, cast it out and straight retrieve it back just fast enough to feel the vibrations. With a typical sink rate of 1 foot per second these presentations can help with suspended fish. Drop it vertically to desire depth and lift rod tip 12-18 inches repeatedly to feel the spoon like flutter on the fall while jigging. For trolling SteelShad will run 1 – 5 feet deep without extra weight depending on speed. The weight placement allows the nose of the lure to cut the water while changing its center of gravity to create constant, stable throbbing vibrations.
